| Abstract: | The author analyzes recent trends in the international management literature from 1996 to 2000. The topics are: the global business environment, internalization, entry mode decisions, international joint ventures, foreign direct investment (FDI), international exchange, transfer of knowledge, strategic alliances and networks, multinationl enterprises, subsidiary-headquarters relations, subsidiary and multinational team management, and expatriate management. Concluding thoughts are offered relating to the perevasiveness, methodologies, and levels of analysis of IM research, as well as potential areas for the future research. |
