Abstract: | The paper explores a case of partnership (hereafter as: p-ship) btw. a large pharmaceutical company and a national charity in the U.K. Managers of the p-ship insisted that its only purpose was to improve the lifestyle of teenagers. They were supported by a literature on p-ship, also tending to ignore the distinction btw. the task the p-ship is set for and its fundamental purpose. While much is made of the benefits of p-ship, there are likely to be private and social costs, associated with failure to admit the purpose of p-ship. |
