| Abstract: | The article introduces the results of a study on the integration process in a large healthcare system formed in a merger. The analysis is made by using the relative amounts of time that senior managers spent talking about numerous integration issues. Communication patterns and differences are identified among discussions about internal and external integration, and a vicious cycle of repeated conflicts between the organization's members is found. |
