Abstract: | Akerlof's, Dicken's and Perry's model (2002)(ADP) predicts that low inflation may cause unemployment to persist at high levels. This article applies the ADP model to Swedish data. The results show that raising the Swedish inflation target from 2 to 4 percent would bring long-run employment down by several percentage points. |
