Abstract:A review of the theories of choice, reflected in micro economics, n-person game theory, statistical decision theory, and accounting systems, including behavioural research on the ambiguities concerning individual and organisational decision making. Four assertions are developed: information engineering tie strategies for gaining information for ideas of anticipatory, consequential choice, behavioural studies of decision making in organizations, the analysis of discrepancies, and the engineering of information to profit from conceptions of decision making and information.
