| Abstract: | The elimination of technical barriers to trade in the EC is one of the most important routes 'to achieve a unified and free International Market in the Community. This article examines the consistent elements of the new approach to this issue, evaluates it by means of a systematic comparison with the drawbacks of the old approach and identifies problems that should be delt with promtly. |
