| Abstract: | Licensing policy is expected to alter in Australia where in the capital cities two commercial stations can be switched from AM to FM band. AM stations had substantial financial losses in recent years while FM stations reached record profits. Industry also welcomed the change. Free AM frequencies will be used mainly by public broadcasters. |
