Abstract:Let's face it: cost cutting has lost its cachet. What wall street really hungers for is companies with rip-roaring revenues growth -- something the ones listed below have in abundance. Acquisitions helped some make the cut: top-ranked Polyphase has grown almost entirely through acquisitions. Others, like CNS, have a hot product on their hands (and our noses). To find the winners, William O'Neil & Co. calculated growth rates for more than 9,000 companies, using a system called least squares analysis to smooth out distortions caused by revenue blips.
