Abstract: | In Turkey, the ethical climate is characterized by bribery, environmental pollution, tax frauds, deceptive advertising, production of unsafe pruducts and ethical violations involving politicians and business professionals. This study compares and contrasts the ethical beliefs of American and Turkish consumers using the Ethical Position Questionnaire (EPQ). The results show that five out of six pre-defined criterion variables differ between the two groups. The implications are meant to assist marketers to develop strategies that suit a particular market and decrease their risk of entry. |
