| Abstract: | This paper was presented at the 1993 ESOMAR Congress in Copenhagen, where it won the ESOMAR Award for "the best case history showing an interesting application of research which should be helpful to others". It stresses the difficulties which have to be overcome when dealing with institutionalized elderly people. In France today, roughly 300,000 elderly people are in specialized homes and institutions. Mainly due to medical and social progress, this figure will steadily increase for some years to come. |
