| Abstract: | What is happening in the field of financial strategy? Have CFO's forsworn synergy in favour of the holding company model? Have planning teams adopted the best ideas of finance as their own? Do the finance and strategy functions compete or cooperate to steer their corporate ship? The response is that strategy issues are not financial and financial issues are not strategic. But it is the integration of strategy and finance that creates shareholder value. A little known financial strategy tool may have new uses 'The Options Pricing Model'. |
