Abstract: | Although American business schools have always had their critics, enrolments are booming. But growing competition for students has meant changes in the orientation of many institutions, and revisions of the Master of Business Administration curriculum. Today there are a greater number of new business graduates each year than of new doctors and lawyers combined. These degrees are complex, containing a rare brew of social conditioning and cleansing as well as pragmatic knowledge. But the critics say that these schools neglected such relevant issues as international management, worker motivation and government relations. |
