| Abstract: | The Trade Policy Review Mechanism (TPR) is the main transperency mechanism of the World Trade Organisation. The paper argues that the mechanism faces a number of challenges in carrying out the mandate set by members, mainly arising from resource constraints. It covers the origins and objectives of the TPRM, discusses the TPR process reviews, the Secreteriat and Government reports, and provides an evaluation of the mechanism. |
