| Abstract: | In 1998, the total trade volume between China and U.S.A. reached $54.94 billion, a 12.1% increase than last year; the technology introduced from U.S.A. was worth $3 billion; there are 2215 projects with investment from American tradesmen, 6.21 billion dollars were utilized in Chinese contract, a 25.8% increase than last year. New opportunity contradictions in the trade relation between China and U.S.A. constantly emerge, therefore the occurred problem and contradiction should be properly handled, such as the problem of most favorable national treatment; China's entrance into the WTO, pursuing new quarantine regulations on the package materials of commodities exported to U.S.A., increasing frequency of anti-dumping of imported goods from China by U.S.A., and the trade unbalance. |
