Abstract: | Entrepreneurship and innovations are considered to be the key sources of economic growth and welfare increases. However their effects when positive for some stakeholders can be negative towards other members of society, and the magnitudes of benefits and social cost are known only afterwards. This article contemplates three possible frameworks for analyzing the aforementioned situation including pre-commitments, contractarianism, and an entrepreneurial framework. Potentially fertile ground for further research is found on the junction of stakeholder theory and entrepreneurial innovation. |
