| Abstract: | In this paper, a complexity conceptualization of knowledge (hereafter as: knw.) is sketced. Based on evolutionary theories, knw. id defined as rules reducing environmental uncertainty through connections btw. facts and ideas. Knw. is conceived as a structure validated through action. Four characteristics of a complex system are found: it is sensitive to initial conditions, it exhibits multiple feedback loops, it is non-linear and it is recursively symmetrical. Four interdependent deformation dimensions of knw. are identified: personal, common, tacit and explicit, with discussion on their interactions. |
