Abstract: | In knowledge-intensive organizational environments, effective knowledge sharing (hereafter as: knw-shrg.) supports the day-to-day work activities. This paper integrates key concepts from the literature towards a model to explain effective knw-shrg. It is proposed among others that the effectiveness of knw-shrg. is determined by the maturity of formal and informal social networks and a shared information and knowledge-based artefact network (AN). Three case studies are used for illustrating the model, highlighting typical knw-shrg. problems resulting ... in a particular environment. |
