| Abstract: | The theoretical framework in this research is an economic model of land taxation. This model includes conservation and an efficiency criteria. An Italian case study is presented to show support for the theoretical conclusions concerning the use of land taxation and planning legislation of the government´s commitment to conservation policies. |
