Abstract:This paper aims to explore the determinants (herein as: dets.) of the expenditure (as: exp.) for the all-inclusive (AI) package tourists. Based on a visitor exit-survey of more than 840 AI tourists visiting the Balearic Islands, using a least square regression model estimation with the two dependent variables, it is found that the presence of the AI holiday experience at the destination (here as: destn.) and visitor and traveling attributes are the important contributing dets. of exp. either at home or destn. economies. Remarkably, a tourist able to have visited the Balearics even in the absence of the AI holidays, has spent more money compared to the tourist not able to do so. This implies that the kind of the customers the AI tourism attempts to attract have the least economic contribution.
