| Abstract: | Supplier relations are very important for manufacturing industries. The dynamics of supplies are illustrated in the field of car manufacturing. Some Japanese car manufacturers may have five or ten thousand suppliers. 60 to 80 per cents of the value of the car is made up by the constituent parts made by suppliers and services provided by subcontractors. The article reviews a wide range of producer-supplier relationships. |
