Abstract:A study was made to test two hypotheses: (1) congruence between internal states and external environments drives the organizational-choice process, (2) persons attracted to special organizations are more homogeneous than the applicant pool in general. The results indicated only weak support for the congruency hypothesis. Work force homogenity seems to be more complex than expected before.
