| Abstract: | Breakfast TV was introduced by private stations RTL plus and SAT 1 in Germany. Since audience liked the programmes ARD and ZDF also started to broadcast in the morning. The author compares the structure, contents and presentation of the programmes of the four stations. He finds that all the channels transmit rich news material. |
