| Abstract: | The objective of this article is to examine the link between production tranfer within Swedish-headquartered multinational enterprises (MNEs) in the manufacturing industry and skill upgrading in their parent companies. Findings show that increased employment shares in non-OECD countries are significantly related to skill upgrading in Swedish manufacturing MNE parents during the 1990s. |
