Abstract: | In this paper the authors argue that the ability to generate and generalize ideas with impact is an important evolution of the learning organization concept. The authors' intent is to suggest specific ways managers can build learning capability. First, the authors provide a foundation by summarizing what is - and is not - known about learning organizations. Learning capability comes when managers not only generate ideas, but are able to share those ideas across boundaries within the organizations. |
