| Abstract: | The authors set up a microeconomic model of the firm operating in an open economy. The factors explaining export volume and export price are domestic and foreign prices, foreign demand, domestic assets and cost. A dynamic version of the model demonstrates that West- German export of engineering and car industry react more on demand and profitability than on prices. |
