| Abstract: | Instructors of computer training workshops are selected because of their computer knowledge, usually not because of their educational practices. Many instructors feel uneasy about structuring a workshop effectively. This article identifies some of the characteristics of adult learners and suggests how these characteristics can be used to plan for, structure, and implement effective computer application training sessions. Although the focus is on adult learners, the concepts presented are equally applicable to other training and teaching environments. |
