| Abstract: | The author considers a standard single-item continuous-review inventory system with stationary stochastic demand. The inventory is controlled by a (Q,r) policy, i.e., when the inventiry position drops to or below r a number of batches of size Q are ordered such that the inventory position after ordering is larger than r and less or equal to r + Q. The inventory position is the inventory on hand plus outstanding orders and minus backorders. Replenishment orders are delivered after a certain lead-time. |
