| Abstract: | This paper argues that trade economists should begin to seriously consider environments in which unemployment is carefully modeled. Such a model is introduced, several results are derived, and they are compared to results derived in full employment models. It is argued that some traditional results are probably too narrow and that some results do not generalize to models with unemployment. There are also some other findings reported. |
