Abstract:This special report contains five articles: "Buying power", where Kevin O'Toole writes: 'The global alliances are only just starting to use their combined buying power; "Ramp up", where Tom Gill writes: "Deregulation in Europe's ground handling market is improving prices - but not necessarily service levels." The third article deals with catering - serving in the fast lane, and the fourth, "Partners in IT" states that IT suppliers are reworking their relationships with airline customers, looking for long-term partnerships based on measures of business success. In the last article "Sabre rattling" Gill writes "Sabre is moving ahead with its bid to be the leading single-source upplier of IT services to the airline industry.
