| Abstract: | Interpreted as the realisation of individual potential, the idea of self-actualisation would seem to be consistent with the second formulation of Kant's categorial imperative: that one should treat everyone, including oneself, as an "end" and not merely as a means. This Kantian idea of a person as an end refers to people having the capacity for autonomous reasoning, with particular reference to moral judgments. |
