Abstract:The paper discusses the concept of corporate social responsibility(CSR) and the meaning of it. The authors argue that the discussion on CSR is in dead end, because two important underlying problems have been ignored: CSR is an ideological concept and its definition depends on people and organizations involved, and discussion on CSR has not covered the topic of the nature and role of the firm in accepting and implementing CSR.
