FINLAND
DEREGULATION
Language:eng
Abstract:In the last years Finland has become one of the most deregulated country in the Nordic financial community, although it was the most backward country. Credit ceilings have been removed and short-term money markets developed. The stock exchange has become much more active than earlier, and a new options market will start up in 1988. Some people, however, do not like the 'casino economy'. Finland has too many saving banks, and their reorganization and concentration is inevitable.
