| Abstract: | Some Danish Bankers hope that Denmark, as the only Nordic country with EEC membership has high hope to become a North European financial center. Sceptics point out the weakness of the Danish economy, the anti-capitalist spirit of the opposition, the very progressive tax-structure, as hindrances to such a development. Another problem is that the deregulation of the financial system has not yet begun, although everybody is planning to take advantage of it when it starts. |
