Abstract: | The issues of time and professionalism are examined. The employment contract is a mechanism for controlling commodified time. But professional people have resisted commodification.Now, these professional groups employed by the state are under attack on accountability grounds.The employment contract is changing to allow more measurement of efforts in terms of time. |
