| Abstract: | The authors review and analyze how computer-based support for strategic decision-making processes varies across the stages of decision making under a variety of conditions. The paper utilizes the empirical results on such processes, taking into account that they can be conducted in different ways. The authors examine the relationships between modes of the strategic decision processes, the contingency variables and the characters of the computer based support. The paper makes a first step towards deriving prescriptive implications for designers. |
