| Abstract: | In an age of rapid technological, economic and social change, industrial and extension training is becoming more and more a key factor for company success. The training concepts have to reflect conditions in the work environment. No wonder that computer-aided learning (CAL) is finding continuously increasing application. Some CAL applications are described. It is shown how CAL is making room for new media and methods of learning. With 70 00 participant days a year in Switzerland IBM is one of the largest and most experienced companies offering computer-aided training courses. The need for continuing education is emphasized. |
