Abstract:There is a global shortage of good or even mediocre product with which broadcasters can fill their expanding hours. So far the British haven't been forced to assimilate foreign product. There's very little dubbed or subtitled television in Britain. European television assimilates foreign culture very well, and Montreux is a major market for them.Europe could be a good source of programmes for Britain despite cultural differences.
