| Abstract: | The old industrial view stressed the peripheries of leadership. Now a 21st century definition of leadership is presented, which concentrates on a relationship of influence between leaders and followers who agree mutual purposes. A model of leadership is presented that infuses the postindustrial framework into a pragmatic approach of exercising leadership in organizations. |
