Abstract:Training is a systematic, international process of altering the behaviour of organizational members in a direction that contributes to organizational effectiveness. The entire personnel training process consists of seven steps which can be predicated on a rational design that is cyclic. This design begins with an analysis of training needs and culminates in the assessment of training results. The major steps in in the design of personnel training are discussed. A participative decision-making-minded supervisors training programme serves as an example to illustrate how to develop, implement and evaluate a training programme to enhance company productivity.
