Abstract: | Corporations can no longer consider travel and entertainment expenses as managerial afterthougths. Managing expenses before they are incurred can be accomplished by developing a sound, concise, written corporate travel policy. The document should be tailored to the firm's corporate philosophy and objectives. The most important task of a policy is to discourage excess expense before it occurs. A viable corporate policy should possess certain key elements, a statement of purpose, explicit guidelines and standards. |
