Abstract:A firm operating globally must manage the flow of people, information, services, and money across national borders. It must nurture and cultivate distinct competence that will allow it to borders. It must nurture and cultivate distinct competence that will allow it to offer better or more efficient services than the domestic firm, as well as the executive reward system and the systems of coordination and control that will nurture its strategy. Even more than in extractive and manufacturing firms, the success of the global service MNE depends on its ability to gain and maintain clients. In addition, firms must make sure they are able to recruit and maintain the human and other resources needed to operate in the market of their choice.
