| Abstract: | This paper illustrates how a tightly networked industry with a highly asymmetrical structure of domination significantly affects the opportunities of agents within that industry to form or/and reorganize horizontal and vertical relations, respectively. A structurationist network perspective is applied, and financial services networks in Germany with its insurers as dominant players are used here as an impressive example. |
