| Abstract: | In the study reported here, the authors develop a more detailed understanding of the factors that shape the amount and nature of management development in organizations in Britain, as well as the perceived achievement and perceived impact of a wide range of formal and informal management development. Using regression analysis, they reconstruct a model of management development based on an open-systems approach that begins to identify some important causal relationships. |
