Abstract:This paper deals with the issue of small businesses. The article presents the findings of an empirical study conducted in Western Australia on the adoption behaviour of small businesses in relation to business-to-business trading exchanges. Based on relevant literature, a research model for studying the attitudes of small businesses towards business-to-business trading exchanges is developed and introduced. The findings of the analysis indicate that positive attitudes of small businesses toward business-to-business trading translate into adoption of business-to-business trading exchanges. Belief, contextual, control and external factors were found to be the central drivers for the attitudes towards business-to-business trading.
