| Abstract: | This study proposes that the extent to which regulation and competitiveness play a role in the country environment has a complex, interactive effect on the relationship btw. corporate governance and firm performance. Using an analytical method, an algorithm is developed to express these effects. Proofs are provided to show that the algorithm meets central conditions identified based on extant research findings. The performance of firms with different corporate governance standards across various environmental conditions is presented. |
