| Abstract: | The author makes an analysis as to such issues as the status quo and trends of worker being laid off during the period of social transformation, the features of group of laid-off workers, the laid-off workers' mental state and its influence on social development. Then he point out that we can not give free rein to the passive mental state and must turn the passive mental state into positive one. He also raises the following suggestions for leading and adjusting their mental state: getting rid of harmful mood and enhancing the enduring force to encourage a spirit again; making efforts to improve their quality; changing the old concept of employment and creating the conditions for re-employment; developing the tertiary industry for opening up a new employment field. |
