Abstract:In the present stage, China's unemployment rate is mainly influenced by the fluctuation of macroeconomy rather than the structural and frictional factors. The increased unemployment due to insufficient demand is the main reason for rising unemployment rate. Therefore, there will be room and possibility of reducing unemployment rate in the coming boom period. Increasing the total demand will help settle the problem of present unemployment. In the long run, it is necessary to take employment, like price, as one of the targets of policy regulation and control the future in macroeconomic policy.
