Abstract:There is a vast range of prospects for cooperation in geological and mineral fields between China and America. As both sides have their own strong points in geological and mineral technology and equipment, two-way exchange has complementarity. In 1991, China National Nonferrous Metal Corporation introduced large-sized equipment for excavation from America and also established its subsidiary there. In the early 1990s, China's Ministry of Chemical Industry, Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and State Building Material Bureau and other Ministry-level units had all established exchange relationship with America in research, development and trade. In Sino-American cooperation in geological and mineral fields, jointly exploring and exploiting mineral resources has the greatest potential.
