| Abstract: | In the beginning of the paper the authors provide the information about the choice of an exchange rate regime in the 2000s - general principles, historical overview of exchange rate arrangements and the challenges of accession to the European Union. Then there is the part about the implications of catch up. The next part considers relative wages, relative productivity and relative prices. Following parts consider the themes: sectoral productivity, sectoral real product wages, sectoral real wages, sectoral growth and the Balassa- Samuelson effect. |
