Abstract:The first-quarter currency supply amount in 1995 which has been increased rapidly is now maintaining a low growth rate. This has been the main reason for the down-going prices. Meanwhile, the main factors for the large-margin increase of the currency supply during this period is the excessive increase of the loans. The more the domestic loans on the financial set up currency account, the more significant is the currency supply amount. As the loans are expanded, the currency reserve in the Central Bank also goes down in its growth margin. Through adjusting the capital structure, the Central Bank is strengthening its administrative power over the basic currency (Mo).
